The 2016 Volkswagen Touareg comes with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic®, Dynamic Shift Program (DSP), and sport mode. All of the trim levels also come with the 4MOTION® all-wheel drive system. This system sends power to the wheels that need it most. The suspension in the 2016 Volkswagen Touareg is the same throughout all of the trim levels. The front suspension is an upper and lower control arms, coil springs, telescopic dampers, anti-roll bar. The rear suspension is a multi-link with coil springs and telescopic dampers.
