Volkswagen Introduces 2018 VW Atlas

Volkswagen has introduced an exciting addition to the 2018 VW line-up:  the 2018 VW Atlas.  This spacious seven-seat SUV will be the largest Volkswagen assembled in America at the VW Chattanooga Assembly Plant.  It will be available in five trim levels and with an optional all-wheel-drive system.  The Atlas is expected to be available in Spring 2017 so we will keep you updated when it arrives!

2017 Volkswagen CC Available at Emich VW

The 2017 Volkswagen CC has now arrived at Emich Volkswagen in Denver. This luxurious 2017 VW CC is packed full of great advanced technologies and ample space for a family with cargo room to spare. The 2017 Volkswagen CC has two different trim levels, the CC Sport (MSRP $34,475) and the R-Line Executive (MSRP $37,820). Both trim levels are packed full of great technologies, both standard and optional. This list includes power tilting panoramic sunroof, premium color multi-function trip computer display, VW Car-Net®  with App-Connect, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, 12-way power seats, and many more.

There are two different engine types for the 2017 Volkswagen CC depending on the trim level. The first is a 2.0L inline four cylinder, 16V, turbo and the other is a 2.0L inline four cylinder, 16V, turbocharged/intercooled, FSI. Both engine types are powerful and offer excellent gas mileage to keep you driving longer.  Both trim levels for the 2017 VW CC are equipped with a 6-speed DSG® automatic transmission with Tiptronic® and Sport mode. The suspension in the 2017 Volkswagen CC is the same in both trim levels. The front suspension is a strut-type with lower control arms, coil springs, telescopic dampers, anti-roll bar. The rear suspension is a multi-link with coil springs, telescopic dampers, anti-roll bar. Both aid in providing a smooth drive in your 2017 Volkswagen CC.

The 2017 VW CC is packed full of both optional and standard technologies which aid in the safety of you and your passengers. This list includes adaptive cruise control, rearview camera system, forward collision warning system, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking system, tire pressure monitoring system, intelligent crash response system, LATCH system, and many more.

Building an Emergency Safety Kit For Your Vehicle

Whether it is summer or winter, a road trip or a daily commute, it is always important to have an emergency safety kit stowed away in your vehicle. You can either buy one that is already built, like the Volkswagen Roadside Assistance Kit pictured above, or you can build your own! Here is a list of items that could be important during a roadside emergency:

* Charged cell phone – either the phone you always carry or an inexpensive pay-as-you-go phone that stays in the car

* First Aid Kit – packed full of bandages, gauze, antiseptic cream, alcohol wipes, and more

* Roadside flares or reflective triangles/cones

* Jumper cables

* One or two blankets

* Extra fuses for your front and rear lights

* Tire inflator and pressure gauge

* Flashlight

* Road maps

* Tow rope

* Small fire extinguisher

* Bottled water

* Non-perishable foods such as granola bars or dried fruit

* Small tool kit – including vise grips, pliers, wrenches, duct tape, funnel, and hammer

* Sand or ice melting salt (during the winter)

* Ice scraper (during the winter)

This may seem like a lot of items to carry in the trunk of your car, but you will be happy to have these items in the case of an emergency. If possible, always check in with someone before hitting the road on a longer road trip so that they know where you are going and the route you are taking.

There is also an optional DCC® Dynamic Chassis Control which makes it possible to adjust the running gear to a normal, sporty, or comfortable tuning. The 2017 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen has the same front and rear suspensions in all trim levels. The front suspension is a strut-type with lower control arms, coil springs, telescopic dampers, 22-mm diameter anti-roll bar. The rear

suspension is a multilink, coil springs, telescopic dampers, 19-mm diameter anti-roll bar. Both suspensions aid in giving the Golf SportWagen a sportier drive.
