We have received an update from Volkswagen regarding the TDI situation:
VW is currently working with the EPA to obtain certification of their 2016 2.0L and 3.0L TDI models and a solution for the 2009-2015 models already on the road. Please know they are working at full speed and we expect a solution soon. If you are driving an affected vehicle know that it is safe to drive and there are no actions necessary at this point. On April 21st we learned that VW and federal judge Charles Breyer, proceeding over the case, came to an agreement on the framework of a settlement. Although both parties are unable to discuss the details of the deal due to a gag order, some details were leaked to the media. From our understanding VW will offer to either buy back the affected vehicles for a value based on before the news of the TDI scandal broke or fix the vehicles. We are also expecting there to be some monitory compensation for both scenarios above the TDI Goodwill package.
