As part of their annual rundown of Best Family Cars, Parents magazine and Edmunds.com editorial staff named the Volkswagen Passat as a Best Family Car of 2012. In addition to test-driving, analyzing, and comparing prices and features, Parents and Edmunds.com consulted parents who own vehicles on their list. The Passat was lauded for its impressive list of features and space offered at an accessible price point.
"Larger, more fuel efficient and more affordable than ever before, VW’s redesigned Passat isn’t just built in America, it’s built for Americans,” Scott Oldham, Editor in Chief, Edmunds.com said. “The sedan now offers one of the largest backseats in its class and still delivers the upscale, German-engineered ambiance Volkswagen vehicles are famous for."
